A few days ago, a group of researchers from the Ocean University of China and Yunnan Normal University claims successfully developed a solar cell that can generate electricity even without the sun. Yes, the solar cells that findings of researchers from the Bamboo Curtain country is able to operate properly during the rainy season where the sun even not shines. In the other words, this solar panel is just need a raindrops.

Quoting from page SlashGear april 12, 2016, the ability of the solar panel is reportedly derived from the coating material called graphene. Layer graphene has been reported to produce electricity while meeting with raindrops known to carry the positive ions and negative ions.

So, when rainwater containing a positive ionic charge falls to the surface of the solar panel and met with a layer of graphene it will produce what is called the pseudocapacitor. Well, that's what reportedly pseudocapacitor can generate a voltage or electric current.

Voltage is generated that can reportedly be used to charge the battery or supply of small scale household appliances that require electricity such as a lamp.

Currently, the solar panel is reportedly being in trial. Although the trial is currently generated electricity is still in a small capacity, but if successful modification to the panel it is not impossible that this device can help areas that are quite rare approached the sun to get electrical energy using solar panels like regions temperate tropical.
